How the Steribrush™ UV Germicidal Toothbrush Sanitizer Works
This compact unit uses state of the art safe UV germicidal technology to kill harmful germs that grow on your toothbrush. After you place your toothbrush in the Steribrush™ UV Toothbrush Sanitizer and shut the cover, the special 253.7 nm cold cathode UV light will automatically turn on for 3-4 minutes and vent the moisture to the outside. The photons from the UV light have just the right wavelength to effectively kill the bacteria, viruses and mold on your toothbrush by destroying their DNA structure. UV germicidal irradiation is a proven and effective sanitization technique that is long established in dentist's offices, hospitals, clinics and commercial settings. Microorganisms cannot develop immunity to UV light.

Testing by an independent laboratory has shown that the Steribrush™ UV Toothbrush Sanitizer to be effective at killing harmful germs that cause colds, flu and other illnesses in minutes. Installation Guide
Due to minor changes in design or otherwise, the product you buy may sometimes differ slightly from the product described herein. Please use the following instructions to use the Steribrush™ Travel UV Toothbrush Sanitizer safely and effectively:
- Open the battery cover and insert 2 “AAA” batteries (not included), then close battery cover.
- Open the Steribrush™ toothbrush sanitizer cover and insert toothbrush with the head towards the UV light to start the toothbrush sanitizing process.
- When the cover is closed, the toothbrush sanitizer will automatically power-up and start the toothbrush sanitizing process.
- The toothbrush sanitizing process will stop automatically after 6-8 minutes and the toothbrush
sanitizer will turn off.
Troubleshooting & Maintenance
- After not using the Steribrush™ Travel UV Toothbrush Sanitizer for an extended period of time, if the UV lamp does not illuminate when the front cover is closed, open and close the front cover for 30 seconds, and then repeat this action several times until the light turns on.
- If the above does not work, change the batteries in the toothbrush sanitizer.
- Please use alkaline batteries in your toothbrush sanitizer.
- Occasionally wipe UV light clean the toothbrush sanitizer for best results.
Warning
- Don’t press the toothbrush sanitizer interlock switch while the cover is open and allow the UV light to expose your eyes and face directly. This could be harmful to your eyes and skin.
- Avoid getting the UV light bulb in the toothbrush sanitizer wet.
- Please remove the batteries when the toothbrush sanitizer won’t be used for extended periods.

Thereafter, while within the warranty period, any defective toothbrush sanitizer should be returned to IMTEK Environmental Corporation with a brief explanation of the problem.
